Dear Lux Camp,
With reference to our recent camping holiday at LAC DE SANGUINET from 26/07/23 to 03/08/23.
Firstly I would like to say the campsite, location, the staff and facilities were excellent.
We were however VERY disappointed with the pitch we were given for our camper van and awning.
We were given a very dusty and muddy corner plot right next to the access road. There was no clear area for us to sit outside as a family without being either exposed to the road or
sitting in sand or dirt. Other pitches around us were much more enclosed and private with bigger spaces for sitting outside.
We were also underneath an oak tree that rained resin over us and our van and awning causing damage to the van pop top rubber seal and also attracting hornets that would sit on the awning feeding off the resin.
This, as you can imagine hampered our enjoyment of the holiday and was a constant cause of stress with us having to brush clean the area of sand and dirt.
A few days into the holiday the campsite manager came over and apologised about the pitch we had beed given and said that the pitch should have been decommissioned as it wasn?t fit for purpose, but the campsite owners refused to close the pitch down.
