The site would have rated 10/10 had the pitches been less muddy (which made groundsheets and the base of tentage filthy when we left), and had there been reliable hot water for washing up and hand washing in the main ablution block. Also very noisy from the entertainment until late at night on our first Friday and Saturday night there, and from a noisy group of campers into the early hours of the morning on another night.) Much more positively, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the on-site shop was excellent (especially the daily baked goods), and the entertainment areas and pool were enticing. The ablution facilities were kept very clean, and were more than adequate apart from the hot water issue mentioned above. The site was in very easy walking reach of the seafront, with its beautiful beach and excellent places to eat and drink, situated right on the Normandy invasion coast,
and an easy drive to many museums, cemeteries and memorials associated with that. Lots of interesting local history and architecture in the area too.
