VERY very disappointed with the campsite I was given. I know I selected it on the website but if I had known the condition of it I would NEVER have chosen it.There was no grass just dried mud overhung by trees that dropped apples, rain drops long after the rain stopped and bird poo all over my tent.My tent was filthy at the end of our stay which is something I have NEVER experienced in all the time I have been camping. My tent footprint was actually water logged under my groundsheet due to a slight incline. My tent rarely dried out during our time there and given that we had booked and paid for 19 nights that was a lot of damp days. Upon arrival I asked to change but was told campsite was full which I totally understand but was offered another site that was blocked off from use and was no better. An absolutely disappointing and disgraceful site that also should be blocked off for use.
The toilet and shower facilities were frequently not cleaned and I had to buy toilet paper to give to my children to ensure they had paper when they went to use the toilets as it was pot luck if there was some supplied.
I cannot understand how for the amount of people using these facilities and especially with Covid that only 1 soap dispenser was available!!! And it was again frequently empty !
