Such a shame....

Whilst we initially enjoyed our first experience of staying at a Sandaya resort we experienced a number of problems as the holiday progressed. The mobile home was well equipped and very clean with plenty of space around it. We particularly liked being able to drive right up and park outside. All staff were friendly and helpful, however there was a severe lack of staff on the bar and in the restaurant. Every evening there was at least a 15 minute wait and when you did get to the bar it was out of stock. When we ate at the restaurant is was such a disaster, having waited over an hour for the starters to arrive they were incorrect and over 2 hours later we cancelled the main course as it was far too late. Around the pool area there were not enough loungers each day particularly with shade for the midday sun and the pool felt dangerous in areas. My son scrapped his face on the wall structure of the pool which was quite bad at the time. The covering used for the structure of the pool walls is like a pumice stone and you can easily graze yourself. The crazy golf area was indeed crazy. The construction was all over the place with different levels of concrete which made it near impossible to play. The bouncy castle was a disaster waiting to happen. The sides kept deflating with the children on it and we banned our son from using it as we had safety concerns. In the UK this would have been removed from the site as deemed unsafe.
