The campsite was struggling with heavy rainfall prior to our arrival and on arrival we were asked to drive carefully onto our allocated pitch as they were wet.
Unfortunately, our camper became stuck before we could get fully onto the pitch so we went back to reception and asked for assistance to get off the pitch. About an hour and a half later a very helpful member of staff towed us off the pitch and we parked up and went back to reception to request an alternative pitch.
They suggested we park at the end of a specific driveway so that we weren?t blocking anyone and could leave easily the next morning as we were only booked in overnight.
On inspection other vehicles were parked on the driveway so we were unable to park there. We inspected other pitches that weren?t waterlogged and went back to reception. They advised us that all the pitches we suggested were reserved so we told them we would stay overnight in the upper car park which they eventually agreed to.
This process took nearly 3 hours from arrival and whilst the conditions were understandably challenging we were disappointed by the service (except for Thomas who towed us off the pitch). Furthermore, the main pitch suggested by ourselves as an alternative pitch was inspected later in the evening and remained vacant.
