Our third visit to Sandaya Maisons-Laffitte

This was our 3rd stay at this campsite and once again we really enjoyed it. We stayed in one of the cabins with a view of the Seine. It was a little on the small side for four of us but it was pleasant and equipped with everything we needed. The campsite itself is very green and you feel close to nature, despite a bit of city noise. There is certainly noise from trains, boats and planes passing by but you soon get used to it and only hear the bird song instead. The location is great, Maisons-Laffitte is a lovely small town with lots of nice restaurants and walks, as well as the train station to take you into Paris quickly and easily. Unfortunately, we did have a problem with noisy neighbours on the last couple of days. The couple beside us had booked with a group of friends, all staying in different cabins, but the whole group chose to gather right next to our cabin each night, talking and laughing into the early hours (despite the campsite rules of silence from 10pm). We asked them politely to be quiet at 1am on the first night but they made no attempt to quieten down. On the second night, we instead went directly to the security guard who, within 5 minutes, came by on his bike and sent them back inside their own cabins. We really appreciated his help and we would encourage others to do the same if faced with this type of inconsiderate behaviour. Nevertheless, I do think the campsite could do more to enforce their silence policy at night. Perhaps the security guard could proactively tour the campsite after 11pm to make sure that people were inside. I would have given 10/10 if it weren't for this issue.
