We booked Val Andre because there was a swimming pool but were not told it had closed for a rebuild

We booked Val Andre because there was a swimming pool but were not told it had closed for a rebuild the week before we arrived. The cottage was generally good, although they were too close together. The bedroom was too small at 8 x 8 and the bed was 6 x 6 king size & it was impossible to dress or undress in there. Getting in and out of bed was problematic as there was only 12 inches on each side to shuffle along. Also the toilet cubicle was only 30 inches wide. If people are so large that they need a king size bed then they would struggle in this set-up. We were aware that there was no shop or restaurant on site and that the town was just a kilometre walk - but we were unprepared for the very steep hill into the town.
The booking form states that I would get a reminder for any outstanding balances but I did not get any reminder - I had to telephone Sandaya regarding the SWIKLY payment and was told to just pay it on arrival!
