Two women travelling, we arrived at Maisons-Laffitte a day earlier than planned, late in the evening and panicking that we wouldn?t have anywhere to stay. The security guard was fabulous, he calmed us down, assured us he would be able to help us, which he did. I wished I had got his name, so I could pass it on, because he really was fantastic. So that was the good part. Our three bedroomed static was tiny, with barely room to swing a cat. Not at all like the floor plan I thought I had ordered. The toilet had the most dreadful smell that sent us out in search of antibacterial cleaning spray and bleach. We scrubbed the toilet and the floor but we could not get rid of the smell. It pervaded the whole unit when you opened the door. There was no room in the bedrooms to stand and get dressed, The flooring in the van was badly worn and torn by the cooker? dangerous. The fridge was missing
half its plastic shell. In the absence of an oven, the combination microwave would have been useful, if there had been any instructions on how to use it and it wasn?t user friendly enough for us to figure it out. A huge table took over what small living space there was and made it impossible to relax on the settee in the evening. Overall, the unit was shabby and not of the same standard we had enjoyed on other Sandaya parks. A small site,the facilities were limited, so not really suitable for more than a stopover.
