Mixed feelings - good camping / bad accomodation

Overall camping very good and the 4-5 stars make sense (altough some items require a little love and attention (repairing/fixing loose tiles in swimming pool / playground to make it safe for children again). There is a lot of fun activities to do for kids/parents. The store on the camping site to buy bread/other stuff is perfect as well. Furthermore the swimming facilities are great and you can play a lot of sports as well (altough some are located in the back of the camping which is a bit strange/unexpected). Our Bungalow however (cottage esterel 4/5p) didn't meet our expectations and I would rate it 2 stars maximum. Main reasons are: 1. The shower is extremely bad. You need to start putting it hot (otherwise it's cold and stays cold). The temperature is so high at the start, you could burn yourself. Then you can put it on correct temperature. However, somehow the shower declines continuously on temperature so you have to adjust continuously as well. At the end it's ice cold again. This is a 1-2 minute process, so showering is awful. Additionally, you need to hold the shower because it's place on the wall on such a location it will never be on correct height for someone (i'm 2 meters and it hit my head instead of my back, if you're taller it might hit your back, however then you can't stand in the shower anymore). We understood from other guests that they experienced the same issues (and that mentioning these with the reception didn't result in fixes, it's just the way it is). 2. Kitchen supplies are limited, we just managed to cook for 2 persons. Cooking for 4-5 is in our opinion impossible. 3. The terrace didn't have a gate/ handrail which with small kids will lead to a very high chance that somwhere in the vacation your child will fall down. It's about 60-80 cm's high, but still they can harm themself unnecessary, 4. Beds resulted in back pain. Normally we aren't affected with back pain on other stays. 5. Kitchen window doesn't have curtains so dependent of the location your neighbours or everyone can look into your accomodation (mostly annoying in evening, when you can't see outside, but outside can see inside). 6. Curtains in the bed rooms don't have a big effect so if there is light outside, the bed room is very light as well (can be fixed by temporary taping some garbage bags on the windows). Positive side of the accomodation was that it has a nice terrace with relaxing chair, place to park the car closeby and the airco.
