Not a positive experience

Lovely receptionist checked us in. Arrived to find a van already parked on the plot we had been given and so we had to go back to reception to inform them. Very disappointed to find the plot was in what looked like a dusty, stoney, dirty car park with pools of muddy water totally separate from the campsite with a locked gate to go through to get into campsite. We felt like poor relatives. After visiting Paris Lafitte campsite with family last September and booking a pitch and two mobile homes we felt it would be very appropriate to go to the Sandaya Leucate campsite and then on to two or three of their other campsites as we were are travelling around France for a months vacation.Unfortunately after this experience at port Leucate we did not visit any more of their sites. Their campsite at Leucate certainly does not live up to the advertisements /media info you provide. Clearly, there were many motor homes within the gated area but because I was using points gathered from the last three bookings I was shoved out into the dusty dirty old car park. This looks like a short term car park that should not have been used for Camping.
