If I could give zero stars, I would.
I’ve been leasing a vehicle from Volkswagen de l’Outaouais since 2020, and throughout the years, I’ve had one disappointing experience after another. The staff may be polite in person, but the customer service is consistently careless, disorganized, and frustrating.
Most recently, I had an appointment in early June to get my windshield replaced. I dropped off the car, took the shuttle home, and waited for hours—only to find out nothing was done because they never ordered the part. I had to call myself around 3:30 p.m. to find out the appointment had been completely pointless. They never bothered to notify me.
During that visit, I also requested a new car key to replace one I had lost. I specifically asked that it be ordered right away—not later, not with the windshield. Weeks went by. No one contacted me. Then one day in mid-July, I panicked after losing my only remaining key and called the dealership… just to find out the new key had arrived weeks ago, and they simply never called me.
I eventually found my key, but I still went to the dealership to get the new one programmed. I couldn’t be seen that day, so I scheduled a proper appointment. Today was that appointment—and guess what? The key doesn’t even work.
That makes three separate visits, each involving a long drive (minimum 30 minutes each way, usually more with traffic), missed work, and absolutely no results.
If I’ve continued going back, it’s only because my protection insurance is tied to this dealership. But the moment my lease is over, I will never set foot there again.
Volkswagen de l’Outaouais has been, hands down, the most inefficient and unprofessional dealership I’ve ever dealt with. Avoid it if you value your time, your money, or your peace of mind.
