Generally it was positive. However in the late afternoon the day before we departed we had two terrific thunderstorms which resulted to bad flooding in the area of the campsite we were located. The site’s response was very poor. Security turned up a couple of times talked into his walkytalky and left. One chap with a here to help teeshirt also turned up on one occasion and he too did nothing to help. The reason we flooded was poor regular maintenance on the site - we were there for 17 nights and we never saw anyone clearing up the fallen pine needles which were collected by the flood water and blocked the drainage holes where the water was supposed to flow into the wide and deep flood channel. If the drainage holes had been clear the water would not have collected and flooded people in tents and caravan awnings to a depth of 6 inches. All of our private bathroom facilities also flooded. There were families staying in tents crying. When the storm passed that evening the guests on site started trying to clear away some of the water themselves. No help or support or offer of tools was provided by the site staff either that evening or the following morning. Other guests on site used their own tools to wade through the flood water and unblock the drainage holes and the water drained in minutes. We had to clean our own private toilet facilities or incur a charge of 50 euros. When checking out all the reception staff said was Bon voyage. We endured a power cut for two hours before discovering that power had been restored and all we had to do was reset our own local breaker. Again another guest discovered this and shared it with others.
